The Chinese Dragon left China for the first time and came to Europe and especially to Patras, in a highly spectacular and well-organized Cultural Event. The sacred Chinese dragon is a symbol of Chinese culture. The Mayor of Patras described the event as "very honorable for Patras and its people".
The elite Chinese troupe Flying Dragons and Dancing Lions Team of Cuigezhuang Township visited Patras and participated in the largest Carnival in Greece, in the context of the cultural exchanges initiated by the Municipal Authority with cities of the People's Republic of China.
The Chinese delegation that came to Patras consists of 26 acrobatic dancers members of the Chinese troupe Flying Dragons and Dancing Lions Team of Cuigezhuang Township, who impressed with their make-up, the people of Patras, during the last week of the Patras Carnival. In the Chinese mission, in addition to the acrobats, there were high-ranking officials from a distant country. The leader of the mission was the Minister of Culture and Tourism of China, who was accompanied by their respective ambassador, while they were followed by representatives of Beijing institutions and associations, as well as other people of the business world of their country.

The group arrives in Greece on March 6 and from the airport, Eleftherios Venizelos is transferred to Patras, to a central hotel in the city.
-Thursday, March 7
At 10 a.m., visit to the City Hall, immediately after a tour at the Municipal Gallery and the Gerolymatou exhibition, at 11:00 a.m. Guided tour of Achaia Clauss and at 6.30 p.m. the event will take place in Agyia.
-Friday 8 March
Guided tour in the Museum at 10 am, guided tour in the archeological site of Vouden at 11.30 am. and at 6.30 p.m. the events will take place in Zarouchleika.
-Saturday, March 9
Guided tour in the Castle at 10 a.m., meeting at City Hall at 1:30 p.m. with a delegation of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Greece, and participation in the evening Carnival parade, at 5.30 p.m. -Sunday, March 10 Participation at 2 p.m. at the big Carnival parade and at 8.30 p.m. at the Carnival cremation event.
